Until my son was born I worked a forty hour week every week. I came home and relaxed, went to sleep later than I should have, and woke up earlier than I wanted to to do it all over again the next day. Our son’s first few months didn’t go as smoothly as we had hoped. After a stressful and challenging year we decided I would work part time. At around the second year it was just too much to handle everything and still work. I resigned from my job. It’s now my responsibility to get our son to his doctor’s appointments, therapies, and handle the bills.
In whatever time I have left over I enjoy do-it-yourself (DIY) projects. I make pillow covers, paint walls, keep the house clean, and so much more. I’m an avid eBay-er and I sell Avon. I find all of these things to be a lot of fun and after thinking about it long and hard I decided it would be a good idea to share the projects I do with others! At first I had a difficult time convincing myself anyone wanted to read about them, and then I realized I was spending a lot of my time looking at similar articles when I needed ideas.
So, I decided I would share. I hope you enjoy reading about the projects as much as I do working on them. It’s my intent to include enough information to duplicate my results. If at any point I fall short be sure to tell me. It’s not a secret. I’ve just forgotten the bit that’s missing.
