Instead of taking off for the holiday we used it as a springboard to get things wrapped up around the house. My husband finished painting our breakfast nook. We had stopped that particular project when it got too hot to open the house up. Today was a gorgeous day to fling the windows open and finish up all the stuff we had been putting off.
The shower got a rough scrubbing. My back, arms, and shoulders still hurt from the effort, but there’s no longer any colored soap scum on the grout! I had to scrub the whole shower top to bottom. I didn’t time it, but I’m fairly sure it took me over an hour. It looks so much nicer now but what a ton of work.
I tried a few things, and you know what works best on soap scum? Water. That’s right, just scrub it over a few times with clean water and it falls right off. I can’t imagine myself paying for any cleaners besides bleach, vinegar and baking soda ever again. Well, maybe the toilet bowl ones that shoot the gel in so you don’t have to touch anything gross. I like those.
I took my first shot at writing a finished article and making it available for purchase today. It’s a little different, but I think I can make it work. I need to be able to anticipate what website owners want to buy instead of writing the work after they ask for it. It’s tough to guess what people want before they are ready to buy it but since I do so much freelance writing I have a general idea of what people are requesting at least. That should help.
I hope your Labor Day was as fun as mine!
